The technique of sculptural painting with texture paste allows you to create paintings on different subjects. One of the favorite genres of sculptural painting artists is the animalistics.
Animalistics is a genre of fine art, the main object of which are animals and birds. Interestingly, in Chinese painting, paintings with flowers and birds are singled out in a separate genre – Huanyao-hua (花鸟画), which literally means "paintings of flowers and birds".
The technique of sculptural painting allows you to create very diverse birds from texture paste: buntings and royal parrots, peacocks and hummingbirds, swans and flamingos, bullfinches, etc. Therefore, the curriculum of the school of sculptural painting includes a practical lesson on creating a three-dimensional bird on an apple tree. In this lesson, students master the combination of classical bas-relief with sculptural painting, the peculiarities of working on the creation of a bird, etc.
This lesson is not easy for students. But the creation of paintings with birds from texture paste allows the artist of sculptural painting to get out of the usual comfort zone. And three-dimensional paintings with the most amazing birds appear!
For clarity, we have collected a selection of 15 paintings in the technique of sculptural painting in the genre of animalistics.
